Your Donations Matter
Donations play an important role in providing holistic hospice care. Patients and families receiving end-of-life care can also experience financial troubles. Often, these troubles come as a direct result of a patient’s illness through overwhelming medical bills or a caregiver’s missed work. To alleviate financial hardships, charitable funds are accessed through a hospice’s own charity or, as in our case, through the Foundation for End of Life Care. The goal of these programs is to provide resources to families in need of additional help outside of the hospice benefit. When hospice staff observes this type of need, they submit a special needs request on behalf of the patient and/or family.
